A small family business with a big love for animals

Hello, we're Moolee

Behind Moolee you'll find a small family run team of animal lovers, rather than a big faceless retailer. What started with parcels being packed at home has grown considerably over the years, but we still try to run the business with exactly the same personal approach we had at the very beginning.

From our garage to our biggest home yet

The story behind Moolee began during the Covid pandemic, when Mike and Anna started packing customer orders from home. Stock quickly began taking over the garage, the shed and just about every spare bit of space we could find.

As more and more customers found us, the business steadily grew. In 2021 we hired our very first employee and soon realised that packing parcels from home wasn't going to be possible for much longer.

Our next step was a very small premises of around 700 sq ft. At the time it felt enormous compared with the garage and shed we'd come from, although it didn't take very long before we had once again filled almost every available corner with pet food, treats, toys and supplies.

From there we moved into a 7,000 sq ft warehouse and today our team operates from approximately 25,000 sq ft of space, allowing us to hold a much wider range of products and serve customers throughout the UK.

Mike

Mike is one of Moolee's owners and is still involved in the business every day. From products and technology to the website and the less glamorous jobs that come with running a growing business, he's never too far away from what's happening.

Anna

Anna is Moolee's other owner and also works in the business day to day. As we've grown, both Mike and Anna have remained hands-on and closely involved with the team, customers and everything that keeps Moolee moving.

And of course, the real bosses...

We're animal lovers ourselves, and three little members of the family are never very far from the centre of things.

Growing bigger without losing what made us different

Moving from a garage and shed to a 25,000 sq ft operation sounds like a huge change — and in many ways it is. But the important things haven't really changed.

Mike and Anna are still here working in the business every day, we still get excited about finding great new products, and we still appreciate every single customer who chooses to order from us.
